Giovanni N. Dortch
OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY
Giovanni is a scholar, activist and comic writer. In her dual roles as writer and co-founder, she has seen Legends Press grow from a wild idea the mind of a teenage artist to a fully functioning publisher/ press with multiple titles and offerings. In that journey she has played roles from event facilitator and convention prep to editor ( Everyday People in MINE! A celebration of liberty and freedom for all benefiting Planned Parenthood ) and writer ( LUNA:Unleashed ). She has happily moved from the operations side of the press to the creative side and will likely take even more journeys into the world of comics. Most recently Giovanni has brought her scholarship to the world of comics by examining the impact of comics as a medium to influence healthy behaviors.
