CREATIVE & BRANDING

Ryan Rowland is an award-winning designer, animator and co-founder of the modern geek culture podcast, Est. 1982. A Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Ryan has over twenty years experience in the creative industry and is known for his highly conceptual thinking, attention to detail and collaborative nature.

Hired straight out of college, Ryan began his career at the then-emerging Country Music Television (CMT/MTV Networks), honing his skills first as a Computer Graphics Artist, then more specifically as a Designer/Animator and collaborated with the On-Air creative team as a Senior Designer. In that role, Ryan designed, developed and produced high quality concepts that support on and off-air programming and promotions. Additionally, he was asked to lead an internal task force charged with pitching programming concepts to both CMT and its sister network, Nickelodeon.

During his tenure at CMT, Ryan excelled in leading his team not just as a fellow designer, but also as a mentor. He is passionate about engaging his team to a higher creative level that contributes to successful and innovative projects and also enhances the work/life culture and overall brand vision.

After joining NAMIC (National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications) in 2014, Ryan served as VP, then President of the Tennessee chapter in 2015-16 and served as Director of Communications in 2017.

In 2016, he set up Ryan Rowland Creative to focus on personal projects including the Est. 1982 Podcast as well as brand work for clients such as CMT, Greenwood, Malcolm Barrett, Yvette Nicole Brown, among others.
