Project: WILDFIRE follows the adventures of Will Watson III, a college sophomore who volunteered for a medical experiment to help pay for his tuition and books. The other test subjects died, and Watson emerged nearly invulnerable, able to fly and shoot bursts of concussive superheated plasma from his hands and sense the presence of victims of the Wildfire Contagion, which turns everyday people into gigantic kaiju, often threatening the city and its citizens.

In the beginning there was #WildfireWednesday

And it was… Pretty good, if we do say so ourselves. During the season we release one-page adventures each Wednesday. See what your favorite Kaiju Kicker does in between the big adventures… Every case ain’t big enough to write a book about. Project: Wildfire began his published life as an emergency 12 page back up. A whirlwind adventure that introduces us to Wildfire and his fight to protect Shelby City from monsters. Hendrix, the voice in his ear, a grief stricken agent Raven, the mysterious General Garrett as well as a mysterious creature called MALTOK (that no one seems to remember) were added to fill out a LEGENDS PRESS showcased book. The Wednesday one page (an act of discipline that started with weekly WarBear drawings) was designed to depict adventures that may not always be shown in the pages of Will’s regular continuity, though eagle eyed fans can catch references throughout the narrative.
